Real estate is competitive.  There is no doubt about that, if you’re lucky enough to succeed in a saturated market you have “the gift”.  I’ve done research ranging from first time home buyers to baby boomers, and what makes them pick up the phone and call you, across the board these 3 techniques seem to be something you’ll see a lot more in 2019 to get your name out there.

 

1)  Video

Video has been ever increasing in real estate marketing, with the use of social media it’s becoming more prevalent in some of the more successful firms across the country.  You don’t have to saturate the market with videos of yourself or your clients.  Less is more in this department, a weekly or monthly video incorporated into your newsletter or business Facebook page market updates (and a few thank yous) may do wonders.

2) Social Media

This isn’t a secret, people have been using social media to promote themselves for years.  But are you using social media as a call to action or are you building a brand and authenticity?   Use your reviews and testimonials to help build your brand.

3) Don’t Forget the Human Element

Technology is a massive part of our industry, but no matter how advanced it gets it will still be an industry based on relationships and trust.  So, rely on your business partners, build with them and establish a long-term system that you can depend on for years to come.

4) Originality

As mentioned before, everyone is doing social media and the same time-tested techniques.  Aim to be creative and think long and hard about “outside the box” ways to connect with new people.  Relationships are key and if you can promote yourself within a social circle you normally travel in, that is a bonus.

5) Solidify Your Brand

You are not selling real estate, you are selling your personal touch WITH real estate.  Remember that people buy from people, not places.  If you practice this people will buy a place through you.
