Back in November 2018 I wrote an article called What is a true mortgage broker?. It outlined the differences between the big banks and the independent companies like mine who can provide a mortgage for you.  Unfortunately, most people still think of their bank when getting a home, and that’s why mortgage brokers only have about 20% of the market share.  The is poised to change dramatically in 2019 though, there have been some changes in the way our mortgages are being conducted that will open doors for many more clients and better rates.

We already give excellent rates, and our service is par none, you can tell by our list of reviews. The one thing we have not been able to overcome is the traditional view that banks and credit unions are the best options for your home loan.  So, we’ve decided to take a different approach.

How We Are Taking Back the Market

Price is very important to our clients, as it is most people.  No one has ever walked into our office without considering the lowest rate and cost.  We have taken that concept to heart for the past 23 years and are even taking it a step further.  We have reduced our rates and eliminated some of the standard adjustments that cause lower credit scores to incur higher rates.  Earlier I wrote an article on Loan level price adjustments I am likely going to write a new one, because most of them have been eliminated.  That means lower rates and better costs for anyone who is a 640 and higher.

What This Means to Our Clients:

Simply put this means you are getting lower rates and spending less money on your loans.  You will still incur the same great service you’ve come to expect, now our already low rates and cost are even lower.  I would encourage anyone that is interested in buying a home to get started here.

Why Would I Use a Broker Over My Bank or Credit Union?

Whether you are a first-time home buyer or a seasoned one, cost and service matters.  Sadly I’ve heard so many  mortgage horror stories where consumers have experienced “bait and switch” schemes, or just poor customer service.  Understandably most of these stories come from the larger lenders most of us are familiar with.  Getting a mortgage doesn’t have to be a struggle, it can be a smooth process.  If you work with a qualified loan officer that gives you the attention you deserve, you will be amazed at the difference.  My company is family owned and you get that personal touch because of it.
